Don was a great teacher and great person sorry for your loss.

I think about you and Don so often, Yvonne, and since I gave up on Facebook, I regularly Google people to see if I can find out what they have been up to. That is how I found this death notice. I am so sorry for you and your family, Yvonne. You and Don were such wonderful neighbours. Madoc was never the same after you left. Peace and love to you all, Terry Perrin

Don, you told me one day at the amazing cottage at Sherbone Lake : I'm not just a pretty face! You were right. You are a great man. It was a privilege for me to spend some days over there with you. RIP.

Don was the best teacher that I had in my life, 54 years ago he was my mentor and a great influence on me when I was at BCI. RIP Mr. Barclay, you will be missed I’m sure. June (Slaunwhite) Marshall

My condolences, Sarah, on such a great loss. I remember many of the stories you told me about your father, and you sure inherited a lot of good character from him, the love of the outdoors, a rich vein of humour, how to enjoy life, and so on. Much love and sympathy to you.

Our sincere sympathy. Don & Yvonne were the first couple we met when we moved to Mt Ste. Anne 20 years ago. We have spent many joyous hours skiing & celebrating together over those years. Don was a super skier, a gentleman & a true friend. We will miss him & promise to dedicate a run to him every ski day. We’re pretty sure he’s up there getting an early start to the season! Sending our sincere condolences to you and your family. I'm so glad I got to see Don last May. It was great be able to reminisce with him, his sense of humour still strong. I'm sure he'll be sorely missed by all who loved him.

I was a former student of Mr Barclay. He had an amazing way of connecting with we students that a select few teachers shared. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

I was a close of Don’s brother Ken and only met Don a few times at North Toronto Collegiate. But we became fast friends and shared much as we both enjoyed Facebook. He was a really good guy. Please pass my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and Ken with whom I haven’t been in contact for a number of years.
