It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Laurinda Shillington on the 26th of February 26th, 2026, at the age of 59. She was the daughter of Linda Partington and the late Clifford Shillington of Québec City. Laurinda is survived by her brothers David (Laurie), Greg (Bonnie), Derrick (Dawn) and sister Karen (Sylvain) Gamache, as well as many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Laurinda brought so much joy and love into the life of her family and friends, and we will miss her beaming smiles and the joy she expressed in everything around her.
We especially want to thank Carolyn and Karl Cormier for all the support and visits they provided during her illness. We would also like to thank the staff at the Residence Labelle, as well as the staff at the Hotel-Dieu-de-Québec for the wonderful care given to Laurinda.
The interment of the ashes will take place in the spring at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Laurinda Shellington, décédée le 26 février 2026 à l’âge de 59 ans.
Fille de Linda Partington et de feu Clifford Shillington de Québec, Laurinda laisse dans le deuil ses frères: David (Laurie), Greg (Bonnie), Derrick (Dawn) et sa sœur Karen (Sylvain) Gamache; ainsi que de nombreux neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines.
Laurinda a apporté beaucoup de joie et d’amour dans la vie de sa famille et de ses amis. Son sourire radieux ainsi que la joie qu’elle exprimait dans tout ce qui l’entourait nous manqueront.
Nous tenons tout particulièrement à remercier Carolyn et Karl Cormier pour tout le soutien et les visites qu’ils ont offerts pendant sa maladie. Nous remercions également le personnel de la Résidence Labelle ainsi que le personnel de l’Hôtel-Dieu-de-Québec pour les soins merveilleux prodigués à Laurinda.
L'inhumation des cendres aura lieu au printemps, au cimetière Saint-Patrick.
